Music Theme Easel Card

I like making easel cards they are simple and quick to make. This one had a music theme as it is for someone who enjoys and teaches music. took me a while to find the right musical instrument sticker. As I needed a flute. there were plenty of stickers of piano's, guitars, bass horns even a clarinet. I hope the person in question enjoys the card. Thanks for taking time to check out my blogs.

Easel Card

Hi again here is another easel card, I just love the Embossing folders, this time I used the sweet treat cup. I coloured the all a flutter butterfly then added crystal effects let it dry then put it inside the sweet treat cup.  Hope you like this card as much as I did making it.

Easel Card

Well thought I would have a go at something different. I had seen this style of card on a few blogs and was interested in the way it looked. So I googled Easel cards and saw some great pictures and there was even a template to follow. so decided to give it a go hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.
This is how the card looks when first taken out of the envelope. Just looks like a round scalloped edge circle card. Then when it is displayed you can see the easel.

Thank You Cards

Well David is finishing TAFE next week and his class are getting a present for their teacher, so David asked me to make a Thank You card. I made a small one first as I thought it was going to be just from him, but then he rang one of his class mates and said that when they went shopping for the present not to get a card as he had asked me to make one. so I then made a bigger card so as all of the class can sign it.

This is the original card. I was very happy with it. I really like the Framed Tulip and the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder's for The Big Shot.

The 2nd one had to be bigger and I still wanted to use the same Embossing Folders, so to get the larger frame I first Embossed my card stock with the Framed Tulip folder then turned the card stock around and lined up a few of the Tulips and put it back through the Big Shot. So as to hide where the two frames over lapped I made two bows and fixed them to the card stock. I am really pleased with the result.

Here are the two cards side by side.

Granddaughters birthdays

Well as I said before lots of birthdays in June and July. Two of my Granddaughter's are having birthdays next week so was trying to think of something different. I just received their school photos so decided to put them in their birthday cards. Hope they like them when I give them to them next week...

Monday 13 June 2011

Had a lovely afternoon making birthday cards....so relaxing...won't be posting photos of them as yet until the people in question have received them. Hoping that they like them as much as I enjoyed making them. June is a very busy month for birthdays but July will be busier.

Think I will start July birthdays this week.

Hope my creative part of my mind is working or it will be a slow process.

Well time to get back to the drawing board and start dreaming up new cards.

In his short life he has not celebrated his birthday, so this year will be the 1st of many celebrations. He is such a cute little boy and is finally in a loving home, with 2 people who truly love him. He follows me around talking up a storm before he goes to school. and loves all sorts of animals so I used the Bugs & Kisses Stampin Up Set.
